Hey guys!

We would like to share with you some news about a great event we held this Saturday in the centre of Kazan at our Flatstack office! We had a fantastic gathering to show kids and teenagers our interesting world of Flatstack.

We got to know the most positive, open minded members and alumni of English Access Microscholarship Program (a group of talented kids from families in need of assistance or families with a number of children learning English). With help from our amazing teacher Yuliana, who is in love with what she does, our colleagues Sergey and Dmitry informed everyone about Flatstack and the roles of iOS and Ruby programmers. During our mini conference we touched on the most pressing topics for kids and answered many of their questions. It is no secret that robotics, as much as programming, is one of most developing areas of young education at the moment. So with this as our leadership motivation we built a robot that can everyone can programme together!

We are positive that our new young artificial friend was grateful to us for assembling its parts but it is the fine motor skills of youngest kids that helped the most! We also provided those who were more driven by an artistic background the opportunity to draw anything their minds wanted on the walls of our blackboard hallways. Yes, it is allowed here! Of course, those who don’t usually have opportunity or time to play Xbox played this a lot! The atmosphere of that special day was completed by some tasty food, fruit, ice cream, pizza, and finishing up by watching a cartoon in English.

We chose the cartoon Zootopia which suitably describes the goal of our day — that we can all raise our spirit and our lives to a level of equality, we need only find motivation and place to start! Then — wonderful changes and events will happen to you and those around you!

When the day was complete we made some photos and selfies, and shared them among new friends together and on social networks.

We are glad that we could widen kids’ horizons here in our beloved Kazan. Maybe we will meet many more times and become colleagues with some of them in the future because if you have a place to start, wonderful opportunities await you!

We want to say thank you to our wonderful FS leaders,
the team and each and everyone one of our kids!
